Under normal conditions, the drive from SJO Airport takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. However, due to the current weather situation and ongoing road delays throughout the country, we are seeing significantly longer travel times. At the moment, we recommend allowing approximately 5 to 6 hours for the journey.

It is also important to note that the final 30 to 40 minutes of the route are on a gravel road. Normally this section is manageable, but the road conditions are currently not very good due to the heavy rains we have been experiencing, especially during the afternoons.

To reach Ecolirios Boutique Hotel & Spa in Guácimo, Limón, we normally travel via Route 32 (San José – Limón Highway).

Please be aware that Route 32 can be highly unpredictable, especially during the rainy season, due to landslides, falling debris, and temporary road blockades caused by weather conditions.

Because of this, the route may occasionally be closed without prior notice. If that happens, we will use alternative routes to ensure you reach your destination safely.
