⚠ Heads Up! To keep our prices as low as possible, we only charge a small deposit online. The remaining balance is paid in cash on the day of service. This helps us avoid high processing and banking fees in Costa Rica, which can reach up to 33% due to local regulations and financial institution charges. All our prices are in USD.
If you have a return transfer with us later in your trip, please remember not to spend all your cash, as you will need it for the balance of the final service.
We strongly recommend obtaining USD in cash before your service to avoid the additional 33% extra charge. Of course, we also accept local currency *(Costa Rican COLONES)*.
For security reasons, we do not make stops at ATMs in Costa Rica during the transfer, so please plan accordingly.
📌 Important Reminder: Please plan your cash expenses wisely and make sure to reserve enough cash for the remaining balances of your services, as agreed in the confirmation.
💵 All remaining balances must be paid in cash only at the end of each service.
And one final tip: in most cases, it is cheaper to withdraw cash from an ATM once you arrive in Costa Rica than to send a transfer before your trip, so we recommend planning ahead and bringing or withdrawing the cash you will need. 💵✈️
SUPER IMPORTANT FOR UVITA TRANSFERS: Our minivans will always travel as far as possible while keeping safety as the top priority. In some areas, especially where roads are steep, narrow, or in poor condition, the vehicle may not be able to reach all the way to the property. In those situations, the driver will stop at the nearest safe, accessible point. This is very common in Costa Rica, as many of these access roads are private. The Airbnb host or hotel owner is usually responsible for the condition and access of these roads, and *they often arrange a smaller local vehicle to meet you at the closest accessible point and take you the rest of the way to the property.* This process ensures both your safety and the protection of your luggage during the final part of the journey. Please let me know if you have any questions about this.
