Just a quick note: Monteverde is spread out along the mountain ridge where the borders of Puntarenas, Alajuela, and Guanacaste meet. While the entire region is broadly referred to as “Monteverde,” many hotels and Airbnbs are located quite far from the town center (Santa Elena) or deep in rural areas.
Because of these distances, prices may vary depending on your exact drop-off or pick-up location. Locations farther out—such as properties toward San Luis, Santa Elena Reserve, or remote Airbnbs in the surrounding hills—usually cost extra.

⚠ Heads Up! To keep our prices as low as possible, we only charge a small deposit online. The remaining balance is paid in cash on the day of service. This helps us avoid high processing and banking fees in Costa Rica, which can reach up to 33% due to local regulations and financial institution charges. All our prices are in USD.

If you have a return transfer with us later in your trip, please remember not to spend all your cash, as you will need it for the balance of the final service.

We strongly recommend obtaining USD in cash before your service to avoid the additional 33% extra charge. Of course, we also accept local currency *(Costa Rican COLONES)*.

For security reasons, we do not make stops at ATMs in Costa Rica during the transfer, so please plan accordingly.
